Hear

If only you could see the world as it passes through my eyes,
maybe you would understand—maybe then you’d realize
how beautiful you really are—and how your soul sings out to me—
how all the passions to possess could be yours but not for free.

We all have a price to pay—a past of plunder all behind us—
we must learn to look away—look ahead with words to bind us
to the actions of our moments—to the memories, we’re makin’—
to the friends, we hold so dear and even those we have forsaken.

Hear these words—feel their powers—
may they guide you through the hours.
every moment is your last—
live it well and let it pass
away.

And do as you say.
do as you say.

We all have a tear to shed—a moment from our past to blind us—
we must learn to free the dead—or the future will not find us
in the action of our moment—but rather, caught in memories
that weigh upon our souls and feed on our hearts like a disease.

I hope that you will hear these words echoing within your dreams
maybe then you’ll understand—life is only what it seems.
you’re the master of your moments—the architect of your designs—
draw yourself out of your past—it’s time you went beyond the lines.

Here, these words—feel their powers—
may they guide you through the hours.
every moment is your last—
live it well and let it pass
away.

And do as you say.
do as you say.
