Dilemma

Here I am, in a dilemma —
my last night’s wish loose and aloof
In my sleep, I binged,
drunk on the wise willow’s speech

The vapours over my tongue
hold grief’s silent notice

A sketch of ‘trial and ironies’ trails.
My nerves aroused by the night’s marooning,
now compelling me to lie down,
like I’m running high on fever after sipping mercury
